YAACOV HELLER
Yaacov Heller is a globally recognized and acclaimed Sculptor, Artist and Jewelry Designer.
Rated among the world’s top sculptor and silversmiths, Yaacov’s designs are known for their rare intricacy, attention to detail, unique interpretation of the human form and spirit, as well as for his personal unswerving commitment to artistic quality. On numerous occasions Yaacov has been commissioned to create historically significant works for presidents, kings, heads of state and other dignitaries. Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Henry Kissinger, Hosni Mubarak, Benjamin Netanyahu, Shimon Peres, Jacque Chirac, Yitzhak Rabin and Anwar Sadat are among a few of the world leaders who have owned pieces bearing the Yaacov Heller signature! Works can be found in presidential libraries and museums worldwide.
Several of Yaacov’s magnificent outdoor monumental sculptures can be seen in Miami at Douglas Gardens. His 12-foot “Fiddler in the Roof”, a self-portrait, is a significant piece in today’s world as it represents the timeless message of the delicate balance of our lives. The “Celebration”, a 10-foot sculpture of three dancing musicians, can be seen outside the Toppel Center for Life Enhancement. Both of these sculptures are musical and serve a therapeutic value to the residents.
Mizner Park in Boca Raton is the site for two major bronze installations. “Flossy’s Fountains” is found at the entrance to the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater adjacent to The Boca Raton Museum of Art. Inside the outdoor venue stands a larger than life bronze of the Court and Countess de Hornle.
An 8-foot bronze menorah welcomes worshippers and visitors of B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton. Florida. This Heller branched candelabrum boasts two Guardian Lions of Judah in gold patina atop a granite pedestal with a colorful mosaic fresco around its surface, depicting the symbols of the twelve tribes of Israel with their names in English and Hebrew.
Today, Yaacov works out of his Gallery 22 in Boca Raton, Florida. Working more passionately than ever in Boca’s Royal Palm Plaza where the artist has installed the magnificent YH Sculpture Garden outside his studio/gallery. This extensive bronze installation includes “The Temptation” in which Eve offers Adam an apple while the Serpent looks on along with bronze dancers, a “Fiddler on the Roof” and more.
Mr. Heller most recently has completed “The Garden of Humanity” (commissioned by investments Ltd, also located in Royal Palm Plaza Place, Boca Raton.) which while reminding us of the Holocaust and other major genocides of the twentieth century encourages visitors to sit and think in a beautiful environment. The installation offers a peaceful area in which one can relax and talk with this internationally recognized artist. There are numerous benches with quotes from dignitaries, leaders, artists, and writers related to education, tolerance, world peace and love as well.
