CHALLENGE YOUR SELF - Waheed Musah

CHALLENGE YOUR SELF

Challenge yourself
To enable you discover your true self
People who disappoint you today
Will surely appoint you tomorrow
People who disgrace you today
Will witness your grace tomorrow
If you work things well
By standing on your feet
To challenge your challenges
To enable you discover the Hero in you
There is something strange in you
A supernatural element
Discover it, is in you, discover it
Never discourage your courage
No matter the condition
Stay to yourself
Don't run away from your true self
Face the challenges
Don't fight battles with your strength
Fight with love
Because, love conquers all
Fight your enemies with love
Do your very best
And leave the rest to your God

Remember, you are not useless until you think you are useless
Stay focus
Don't get worried about the bad things people says about you
Smile over every situation that comes your way
They are only trying to distract your attention
For you not to meet your intentions
Stand and say No to distraction
They are only trying to confuse your compassion not to meet your passion
Stand and say yes to improvement
Life is a front field
Be a fighter
And fight well
Train your mind
Train your body
Train your soul
Train your spirit
For the battle of life
Is full of pressure and pleasure
Beware the kind of actions you take today
For tomorrow await you
Walk with love
Talk with love
Work with love
Love your self
And
Try to discover your true self
That is very important

BIENNART A UMBERTIDE IL 10 GIUGNO 2017 A CURA DELLA DOTT.SSA NADIA CELI (critico d'arte)

Eyes In The Glen by Shola Balogun

Eyes In The Glen
by Shola Balogun

The earthen lamp,the wandering eyes,
The dimly lit floor, the rising shadow,
The sudden silence of lone whispers
In the undivided hour,
The woven hearse on wheeled rostrums
As wilted knot of hands thaw
To loose your drapes-
Then the coral dialectics of shapely ambits!impulsive
Elesin Oba
Would spare a long-loved clout for the pall
To untying beads of carousal,
Falstaff
In his lagging steps could not have been more
Unperturbed to part with brew
And the succulent fullness of dingles-
I stand tiptoed on reclining rail
And unflustered by the rants of lightsome gulls.

MANGO BLOSSOM (in Chandigarh) - Lily Swarn

MANGO BLOSSOM(in Chandigarh )

The season of blossoming
Mango trees
Of scented breezes fanning the buds
Bees abuzz with heady euphoria
Swings rocking from branches high
Your songs swaying like mango blossoms
Your love perfumed with March madness
Your haughty demeanour coming to naught
When the arrows fly from Cupid's bow
Green your orchard and intoxicated me
Waiting for the trees to bear their fruit
Mango mania all around
Ghalib knew why
these trees abound!!

dawn - Uzo Nwamara

dawn
as the
sun smiles
this dawn
a bud
bursts open
popping up
incandescent petals
beckoning bees
and all

let us
harken to
this call
and clasp
this cusp
with our
tongues suckling
on this
heavenly boon
for this
dawn tomorrow
this piece
of beauty
and bounty
shall be
a forlorn
burnt out
wilted ash
bearing our
forgotten memorial

Making of the Air That We Breath - Parupudi Satyavenkatavinodkumar

As I walk and walk and walk
Sometimes my nostrils soothe
Sometimes they fill with pungent
Alien smell instead of fresh air
Impurities of blind growth
Impurities of inhuman intentions
Choke my nostrils on my way
And yes, I consider myself a part
Sometimes I breath pains in the air
Pains of sufferings of downtrodden
Pains of sufferings of helplessness
Pains of fellow subdued hearts
Sometimes I I breath cries of times
Of ancient ignominy hanging untended
And I ponder was the air like this
From the beginning of life on earth
Some subtraction of population
Through reverse evolution conveys
Me to the times of wilderness and nature
Their abundance and their blessings
And then the evolution of mankind
Or today I contemplate was/is it mankind?
It grew but at a cost of contaminating
The nature and its blessings of divinity
With the artificiality of our wants and comforts
For even today I don’t find a replacement
For the freshness at seashore
The rhythm of the pristine river flowing
The rain in forests and nature’s lap
The petrichor of the ancient earth
For a second now my nostrils are filled
With imaginary freshness of the times gone by
When humanity was the closest ally
Of this pristine and divine nature
I come back to the nows with a sigh
As I walk and walk and walk

The pain - Sudha Dixit

The pain I felt
Is frozen and
Buried in my heart
The way I smile
And laugh
Is an art

OPEN DOORS - AYANDA ANJOLAOLUWA PHILIP.

OPEN DOORS

Before you are many open doors:
Many a door of opportunities before your very claws.
You will succeed if you obey God's and cosmic laws.
You too can succeed, you can win all wars.
Before you are many open doors
Which no man can shut.

MASK

A double life, everyone is living
Hiding behind masks after masks
What's real? What's fake? Don't know
We've learnt the art of stagecraft

ON SANDS OF TIME - Seema Devi

ON SANDS OF TIME.....12 Jan 2017

Whispers sweet, palpable
on the waves of thoughts,
Faint wind wandered
bearing dim fragrance.
A wild bird sings,
a wild passionate song,
Sweet foam of Time
vibrates with this melody.

Melody escapes from
Chattering jaws of night
With loneliness chill
Love binds eternity,
Fragments of time
Stuck in the memory- grooves
Piling 'primal forces '
abysses ,on sands of Time.
